Prospective Student Guide

The Prospective Student Guide was redesigned to serve as a concise, visually engaging introduction for individuals exploring the University of Utah. Previously a dense, text-heavy booklet, it underwent a complete transformation to work in tandem with the Viewbook—providing just enough information to spark curiosity without overwhelming the reader.

To better address the needs of a broad audience, we created four tailored versions of the guide, each featuring custom content and visuals. This approach allows Admissions to deliver messaging that feels personal and relevant while giving recruiters a portable, targeted tool for fairs and events.

Each guide incorporates curated photography that highlights academic life, outdoor recreation, downtown Salt Lake City, and Utah’s iconic landscapes. Bold red figures amplify notable accolades, reinforcing the university’s strong reputation. Design elements such as upward-facing corner patterns and varied brand colors help divide content and strengthen visual identity. The final product is a clear, energetic, and easy-to-navigate resource that encourages prospective students to explore the U with confidence.
